Quick answer

What does home repair cover?

We work through general home repair lists across Oakhurst and the Township of Ocean — the small jobs that are individually too minor to book. One van carrying every trade means the whole list clears in one visit instead of several.

— Overview

How this job usually goes

Every household has a list nobody has got round to. Individually each item is too small to justify a callout, which is exactly why it stays on the list for two years. Read the whole thing out when you call — a long list is more efficient for both of us than a short one.

What we check first

  • Read the whole list when you call — travel time costs the same for one job as for eight, so batching is genuinely better value.
  • Grab rails, thresholds and anti-tip anchoring are regular items, not specialist add-ons.
  • Where a job needs a licensed trade, we say so on the call rather than halfway through.

What this service includes

  • Shelf, mirror and picture hanging
  • Curtain rail and blind fitting
  • Cabinet door and drawer adjustment
  • Draught sealing and weatherstripping
  • Grab rail and accessibility fitting
  • Small hardware replacement
  • Childproofing and anti-tip anchoring
  • Seasonal maintenance tasks

Signs this is the job you need

  • 01A list that has survived two seasons on the fridge
  • 02Jobs individually too small to book
  • 03Work needed before a sale or a letting
  • 04Accessibility changes needed at short notice

Pricing

There is no published rate list — two jobs with the same name rarely cost the same once you have seen behind the wall. Tell us the trade, the town and what has gone wrong, and in most cases you get a number on the call. Estimates are free.

Each card walks through a representative home repair job — what came in, what it took to put right, and how long it ran.

Locally

Why this comes up here

Oakhurst holds three established senior housing communities with more age-restricted housing under construction, which shapes the local repair list: grab rails, step modifications, threshold work and maintenance on settled properties rather than one big renovation.

What customers say

5 out of 5 on our Google Business Profile

  • The first job Multi-Skilled Handyman did for me was to replace our tiny mail box with a bulky secure mailbox in our already built brick post. The outcome was fabulous. It looks like the wall and mailbox were built at the same time. Since then, Multi-Skilled Handyman has come over every six weeks. Each time, I simply hand over our Honey Do list and know with great confidence that everything will be done to amazing perfection.

  • Multi-Skilled Handyman is totally awesome and definitely an honest handyman! He came recommended to us and we called to have him look at the pergola over our patio to maybe replace some of the wood. He said that it wouldn’t be worth it for us to do now, that we should just wait and replace the whole thing. We were impressed with his honesty.

  • Great communication from Multi-Skilled Handyman! Very easy to work with and coordinate scheduling. Multi-Skilled worked really hard, cleaned up each day before he left, and did quality work. We had carpeting removed on the third floor, sub floor repaired, and a new laminate floor installed.

  • Multi-Skilled Handyman installed two porch railings for me. Very amiable and responsive reception by Multi-Skilled. Mike could not have been more responsible and knowledgeable in installing the railings. Will ask them again to help out when I need trustworthy individuals in my home. Thank you!
